Based on the fundamental class format developed by barre originator Lotte Berk, this full body workout combines the best of classical ballet technique, Pilates and yoga. Using your own bodyweight as resistance, participants isolate and work the muscles of their upper body, thighs and abdominals to the point of fatigue then stretch them to achieve a long, lean physique. Hop onto your "Balance Beam" and experience one of our most effective exercises to tone, tighten and lift your seat and outer thigh area! Designed to be safe on your joints yet incredibly strengthening for surrounding muscle groups, you will soon discover why this is one of our favorites!
What you will need:
A ballet barre, sturdy chair or countertop
A set of light hand weights (we prefer 1, 2, or 3 lbs)
A rolled-up towel, pillow, or some support for your low back.
A playground ball
